SAN FRANCISCO - The Giants are turning their attention to Jon Lester following Pablo Sandovals departure.The free agent pitcher has plans to meet with the World Series champions next week, a person with knowledge of the meeting said Tuesday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because there was no authorization to publicly disclose the meeting.San Francisco has need for a front-line starting pitcher and was expected to get busy in the free agent market after losing the slugging third baseman to the Boston Red Sox.
